Alcoholic Beverage Control

Beginning on July 1, 2022, the Alcohol Beverage Control Agency will require anyone that serves alcohol to take the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training. This is a change and it is NOT the Lead Training that most of us took within the past 2 years.

Who is affected? Anyone who serves alcohol under an ABC license. All bar and restaurant personnel. For daily licenses, one certified person must be present at all times while alcohol is being served.

The cost is $3 to register with the ABC. Online classes can cost anywhere from $10 – $35 (so shop around). The class is approximately 1 1/2 hours long. You will then have to pass a written test (online) with the ABC and pass with a 70% or better score. Here is the link to get your started.
