What’s New for LMSA in 2022!!

As 2021 comes to a close, we know that it wasn’t “business as usual” for any of us. We made plans that had to be cancelled, and we had many hiccups along the way. But we did new things as well! The Pumpkin Festival and Dickens Festival were a huge success along with Trick or Treat on Main Street. We added the Lakeport BLIZZARD which was a big success drawing hundreds of people to Lakeport on 3 nights during December. We decorated the Gazebo to highlight the season and had many, many compliments on how Lakeport was the place to be during Christmas!

We hope you have noticed that our social media presence (Facebook and Instagram) has increased exponentially! Our reach is now 39,000 people. Also, our website draw has increased to 26,000 visits. For the members of LMSA, this is very big news as we can help you get the word out about your business to a lot more people than just a year ago.

So, what’s new in 2022? Well, the Easter Bunny will be coming to Lakeport during the four weekends leading up to Easter. We will re-imagine “Lakeport Inside Out” to be a city-wide yard sale and sidewalk sale. The Taste of Lake County will be moved to Library Park instead of Main Street to give us some much needed shade and cooler temperatures for the event. Plus, we will be adding a “Makers Fair” to the Taste of Lake County for a more appealing event to everyone. Here’s a list of approximate dates for 2022:

Easter Bunny Visits Lakeport – Every Saturday late March to Easter.

Lakeport Inside Out – City Wide Yard Sale and Sidewalk Sale – April 30

Memorial Day Parade – May 28

July 4 Street Fair and Fireworks – July 4

Taste of Lake County – August 20

Pumpkin & Dia de los Muertos Festival – October 1

Trick or Treat on Main Street – October 31

Dickens Festival – November 26

Lakeport Lighted Christmas Cruise – (Event by the Lakeport Fire Department) – December 16

As we finalize plans for 2022, you will find the events posted on our website and Facebook. We also welcome you to volunteer for any of these events to keep them being successful.

Happy New Year!
